The goal and efforts of the Career Awareness Committee are to support enhanced prosperity of members by boosting awareness of careers in our industry.
Goals
- Raise awareness of the varied career opportunities within CIPH members, and our industry, to ensure that a diverse workforce will sustain future industry health and growth.
- Promote our industry as one that makes ongoing positive contributions to the life and health of Canadians.
Execution
- Amplify the Awareness of Careers within the plumbing & heating industry through a targeted campaign centered around World Plumbing Day at the High School and College level
- Demonstrate leadership and innovation with respect to water and energy efficiency.
- Promote and celebrate efforts made by the industry and CIPH members with respect to plumbing and heating being essential to Canadian comfort and development.
- Review, assess, and make recommendations on CIPH's marketing & communications activities as needed.
- Starting with Peel Region as a Pilot, develop a program to be launched on WPD 2024 that engages Students, Teachers, CIPH Members and the plumbing and heating trade collaborating in a fun competition utilizing trade product and skills
- Expand the pilot to other Regions and Colleges starting in 2025 until there is a Regional competition
