CIPH ensures that members voices are heard.
Through our Plumbing Mechanical Advisory Council, we provide federal and provincial government agencies with up-to-date industry information and represent the industry on legislative and regulatory matters.
CIPH is a key part of the regulatory system for plumbing and heating in Canada.
This means that we:
- Represent the industry and its members
- Proactively engage proposed policy changes
- Educate our members on upcoming regulation changes so that they are prepared
- Advocate for the betterment of the industry
- Are key drivers for the development of policy
- Promote and keep members up to date on industry codes & standards
Addressing Climate Change with Skilled Trades and New Technologies
Just one example of CIPH’s involvement in advocacy is our initiative to address climate change with skilled trades and technologies from August 2019.
Ensuring Canada has an adequate supply of skilled tradespeople who are regularly updating their skills and certifications is an essential component of addressing the climate emergency.
