As we approach the end of 2023, we do so with a final toast to a remarkable period in the history of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH). 

This year, we celebrated the 90th Anniversary of CIPH, paying tribute to generations of members, volunteers, and partners, who have built a strong industry. We also said goodbye to our friend, and industry pioneer, Ralph Suppa, who passed the torch to the next custodian of our member's trust in CIPH.

As we reflect on the year that was, we also look to the future, one where Canadians can continue to count on our industry to provide clean, safe drinking water, while delivering the safety and comforts of a home. The ingenuity that consumers have come to expect from our industry is the same that governments can leverage, helping to meet home ownership and environmental goals. 

 We are excited to write the next chapter in our mission at CIPH, starting with a careful review of our strategic plan in the New Year. As the pace of change in our industry accelerates, we commit to being responsive to the needs of our members. As government policies change the regulatory environment for our products and services, we will redouble our efforts to help to shape those policies. As with the first 90-years, we commit to being a strong voice for our industry.

Of course, none of this is possible without our wonderful staff, regional coordinators, and the continued hard work and dedication of nearly 200 volunteers - our National Board, Region Boards, Councils and Committees. These volunteers selflessly devote countless hours to ensuring that CIPH delivers on its value proposition. Thank you for being the backbone of our organization and for going above and beyond in serving our industry.

In closing, we wish you all a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
